Position Purpose: In collaboration with the VP of Marketing and Sales, the Director of Earned Revenue and Marketing is responsible for spearheading strategies to maximize earned revenue for Broadway@ The Ordway ($10M in the 2024-2025 season), Ordway Presents, and the Flint Hills Family Festival, with a specific focus on generating growth for subscriptions, group sales, and new revenue opportunities. This position will develop a comprehensive marketing and sales strategy that will retain existing and attract and expand new audiences through a mix of direct marketing, digital, telemarketing, group sales, and new initiatives.

Key Performance Areas:  

  • Provide leadership and management to Marketing Manager, Marketing and Media Project Coordinator, Group Sales, and outside telemarketing firm to support the achievement of the Ordway’s mission and strategic plan.
  • Develop and lead strategies to maximize earned revenue for Broadway@ The Ordway ($10M in the 2024-2025 season), Ordway Presents, and the Flint Hills Family Festival, with a specific focus on generating growth for subscriptions, groups, and new revenue opportunities.
  • Compile, format and report on campaigns and marketing initiatives to measure effectiveness and ensure alignment with strategic organizational goals and objectives.
  • Participate on committees and project teams that support the Ordway’s mission to result in enhancement of partnerships, increased revenues, reduction of risk, optimum customer service, and positive employee engagement in support of the Ordway’s mission.

Other Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism or related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of three to five years of demonstrated (or transferable) experience in Audience Development, Marketing, and Sales, or other related field required.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Experience in the arts knowledge of Broadway/musical theater preferred.
  • Experience in driving subscription growth and optimizing patron journey preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher and Word).
  • High degree of sensitivity for confidentiality.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, investigate and offer alternative solutions to problems.
  • Ability to represent the Ordway in a professional manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and varying workload.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally.
