 PositionPurpose: TheManager of Production Department Operations is responsible for the day-to-dayoperational functions of Ordway’s Production Department including payroll,calendar maintenance and departmental scheduling, assisting with the showsettlement preparation and processing departmental expenses.   This position will work closely with theDirector of Production, to ensure strong business processes and systems are inplace to support the work of the Production Department in alignment withOrdway’s general business needs and practices.

 KeyPerformance Areas:  

  • Ensureall payroll is entered into the Ordway’s payroll data system, Curtain Time,  with all required documentation properlyreviewed
  • Advancethe business practices and technology that support the production departmentwith the Ordway’s Business Resource Team.
  • Actas a key member of the Ordway’s internal EMS power users to drive the productand organizational process forward.   
  • Ensurethe Ordway’s scheduling system, EMS, is kept up-to-date with all requireddocuments attached within the agreed upon timeframes to ensure that events areexecuted in a smooth and seamless manner.  
  • Evaluatecalendar bookings to ensure resources are available to support the activityprior to Ordway confirming acceptance of the event.
  • Workwith other operational departments to improve customer service both internallyand externally.
  • Ensureall bills are coded correctly and processed in a timely manner and areaccurately reported in the department’s cost center.
  • Assistwith on-boarding new union crew, along with the Production department andOrdway Human Resources.
  • Serveas a backup, when needed, to cover requested PTO for production staff in the department.
  • The Ordway is especially interested in candidateswho can contribute to the diversity and inclusive excellence of theorganization through their communication skills.

 OtherQualifications:

  • Provenproficiency with Microsoft Office suite.  Primarily Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Demonstratedexpertise with Vectorworks drafting software, preferred
  • Three- five years’ experience in backstage work of a theater or performing artscenter, stage or production management is preferred.
  • Experiencewith facility scheduling software, IATSE contracts, and union payroll.
  • Strongproject management and communication skills.
  • Solidorganizational skills.
  • Reliabletransportation required.
  • Abilityto work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
